For the 12th consecutive year, Mounds View Public Schools has won the best communities for music education award, presented by the National Association of Music Merchants. Mounds View was one of only nine Minnesota school districts to receive the designation for 2024. This year, more than 3,100 students in grades 4-12 chose to participate in band, choir, and orchestra. NineNorth is a nonprofit organization operated by the North Suburban Access Corporation. The nine commission members represent the cities of Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville and St. Anthony.
