NineNorth Spotlight: The Paul Bunyan Inspiration in St. Anthony

Pete Dick, believed to be the inspiration for the legendary Paul Bunyan, lived on Silver Lake in St. Anthony, Minnesota. While he managed logging camps in northern Minnesota, he wasn't a lumberjack himself. William Barlow Laughead is credited with creating the iconic image of Paul Bunyan for the Red River Lumber Company. Drawing inspiration from Pete Dick and a French cook named Charlie Revoir.
