Many women who have had children with an FASD may be patients
themselves living with mental health and substance abuse issues.
This presentation will highlight the landmark Treatment Improvement
Protocol 58 from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration. The TIP emphasizes the importance of preventing alcohol
exposed pregnancies and recognizes the unique needs of individuals in
chemical or mental health treatment.
