Following the announcement of Jim Galvin’s retirement, Mounds View High School is pleased to name Gretchen Zahn as the new Activities Director, effective July 1.
Gretchen brings a rich 29-year history with the district to this role. Most recently, she served as Associate Principal on Special Assignment supporting activities and athletics at both Irondale and Mounds View. In that position, she successfully increased alignment between the two high schools while deepening student connection and belonging through extracurricular programs. Her deep roots in the community include serving as a coordinator, assistant director, and director of curriculum and instruction over an eight-year period, as well as spending 13 years as a physical education and health teacher at Mounds View. Exceptionally well-qualified, Gretchen is ready to lead and continue the strong tradition of Mustang pride and excellence.
